Kamala Harris
Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician. Born October 20, 1964, she is the 49th Vice President of the United States. She is the first woman elected vice president and she is also the most powerful female officer in the history of America. She is a senator and former senator from California. Harris was born in Oakland, California. She graduated from Howard University as well as the University of California Hastings College of the Law. Harris began her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office prior to being enlisted into the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and then the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. In 2003 she was elected the city's district attorney. Harris was appointed Attorney General of California in 2010, and was re-elected in 2014. Between 2017 and 2021, Harris was the junior United States senator for California. Harris beat Loretta Sanchez during the 2016 Senate elections, becoming the 2nd African American woman, and the first South Asian American, to serve as senator in the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who worked for healthcare and federal de-scheduling cannabis. The path towards citizenship for migrants who aren't legal. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. She is well-known for her direct questioning of Trump government officials in Senate hearings.
