Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Balm (born on the 24th of November in 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a politician, and a television host on MSNBC and a frequent contributor for The Huffington Post, and former cohost of The Hill’s Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear in May 2021 that they'd leave the show to launch their own show, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is a cohost on Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has made guest appearances on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball attributes her continued interest in politics to her experiences as a new mom during the 2008 primaries. She also followed the US presidential election from Jordan as she was working in Jordan. She was able to observe how the election affected people in that country and thus gained an appreciation for the global influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional District in 2010. She lost to Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. She co-hosted The Cycle on MSNBC program The Cycle from June 2012 to July 2015. In May 2017, she launched the People's House Project, a political action committee that works on behalf of Democratic causes.
