Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
